The successful applicants will work with the ethics of the organisation which focuses on ensuring that service delivery is person-centred in accordance with the agreed Care Plan.
Main duties & responsibilities:
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting the rights of residents.
- Creating and implementing organisation procedures to maintain quality standards.
- To look after the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of the Clients using a person-centred approach.
- To observe and promote the Client’s choice, independence, dignity, privacy, fulfilment and other rights.
- To actively support other care workers.
- To adhere to all regulatory and statutory obligations policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Providing personal care and continued support to clients with a wide range of needs including disabilities and illness.
- Retain knowledge of the client’s care and support plan.
- Proactively and continuously encourage client independence and motivation.
- Assist with toileting, washing, bathing, showering and shaving etc.
- With an awareness of the client’s choice and likes/dislikes, prepare food/drink for the client whilst taking into consideration their nutritional and cultural requirements.
- Being a companion to the client by talking and listening to them.
- Safely and correctly use of manual handling equipment.
- Accompany clients on trips into the community if required.

Must have the following;
- Flexibility on potential shift placements.

- Appropriate experience is ideal but not essential.
